Tiff between RGV and RC-2 producer

Ramgopal Varma who is desperately looking for a hit, thought Raktha Charithra (RC) would bring him back the glory in Bollywood. The film is doing reasonably well in AP while sank to bottom as soon as it opened in Hindi.

RGV is now blaming it on producer of the film Madhu Mantena for not promoting the film well enough to reach the audience. RGV who showed lot of vigor in promoting two parts of RC even comparing Surya with Rajnikanth and Aamir Khan, stayed away just before RC-2 release.

Does he lose interest in RC- 2? Bollywood is buzzing with the rumours of tiff between RGV and Madhu Mantena.

Whatever may be the reason, RC-2 bombed in Bollywood much to the disappointment of RGV.

RGV planning for Rakta Charitra 3?

Is Ramgopal Varma planning to make the third installment in the Rakta Charitra series? Well, the maverick film-maker may declare that the story he wanted to narrate concluded when Surya [Surya] assassinates Pratap [Vivek Oberoi] in Rakta Charitra 2, but looks like the film-maker has left the options open for the third installment of Rakta Charitra. For those who haven't watched the film, the last sequence depicts Vivek's new-born watching Surya on a news channel, soon after Vivek has been assassinated.

Of course, we are well aware that Rakta Charitra is inspired by a real-life story and there's no scope for the story to continue further, but RGV could spin a yarn - a work of fiction - whereby Vivek's new-born grows up to seek revenge. However, RGV dismisses the talk, when quizzed about the third installment.

Incidentally, there's talk that RGV and South superstar Surya are planning to work together in another project, which will be directed by a top notch Telugu film-maker. It's said that RGV will present this film.
